West Valley City - The West Valley Lions, with the West Valley Symphony, will present a “Tribute to our Veterans” Memorial Day program. The program will be held at the Cultural Events Center at 1350 W. 3100 S. on Saturday May 29th 2010 at 11:00am.

 

The Memorial Day program is a Tribute to our Veterans and is free to the public. The keynote speaker for this year will be State Attorney General Mark Shurtleff. The presenting and posting the Colors will be administered by the 2nd Battalion, 23rd Marines. A performance of patriotic music for the program will be provided by the West Valley Symphony.


The West Valley Lions are in the process of planning a Walk with the Blind, to be held on September 25th at the Cottonwood East Park, as a fund raising effort to support projects for the blind. They have also produced a CD about the Constitution to be played at all schools in the Granite District on September 17th for Constitution Day. The West Valley Lions recently elected Board Members Bill Barton, President, Craig Farnsworth, Vice President, Karen Barton, Secretary, Phil Condor, Treasurer and Marie Crockett and Gundi Jones as elected Board Members.
